Paypal has been exactly like this since it's entire fucking history.

@Forestofenchantment @cjd Yeah Idk. I think their bots respond to predicted behavior so if you're an imaginary normal person you'll do the thing the robot expects you to do and not get flagged and if you do anything idiosyncratic you're fucked.
One of paypal's favorite tricks is to let people sign up, then RECEIVE money, then they lock their account and keep the money.

@Humpleupagus @Forestofenchantment @cjd They automate policies like this because regulators force anything that deals in finance to be obnoxious. Banks and good cryptocurrency exchanges are exactly the same.
