I had to install another package because of javascript nonsense... fun. But at least it works now.

Basically yes, full youtube support requires a client side javascript implementation to solve challenges or something.

@grey @graf @teto its only recently started being a problem, 80% of videos i tried downloaded but there's started being a pesky few that won't

turned out to be a really easy install, you just run a powershell command and it installs the exe in your profile root, then adds it to the PATH so yt-dlp will see it
