i feel like a bedrock of a functional democracy would be letting people who are in the best position to think about the past and future vote
beginning suffrage at 25 and ending it at 65 evades a lot of pitfalls and gives the citizen a 40 year window to have a voice in the electorate, while keeping people out who have perverse incentives to participate in legislation
ideally we would also keep subhumans from voting if we're making use of things like management cybernetics to redesign systems like the state from the ground up
