@navi Reminds me that my Kobo (Sage, if I remember correctly) only has one CPU core enabled, which makes sense battery-wise but maybe having at least one more enabled could help for gigantic images that you can have with manga.
(Maybe I should use something like mogrify to resize images prior to pushing them to my kobo)

@navi Have you looked at the LILYGO T-DECK or similar ESP32-based e-ink boards? The DIY e-reader rabbit hole goes deep once you start. Though I feel like the real challenge is getting decent manga panel detection for page turns on custom firmware...
