VT-AGR-344 sometimes slips away into the arboretum for a moment of quiet to do something rather unusual for a Vitruvian … think about things she wasn’t supposed to be thinking about. If her masters of the Agrigen corporation ever found out, she’d be in deep trouble, but there is so much about all their lives in this colony, that just doesn’t add up.
Vitruvians are the big game changer in every corporate military force that Chimera gave the galaxy. No one can afford to lose out on the lab-created super soldiers that can topple a tank, break through walls, move with superhuman speed and shrug off most physical attacks. They’re the backbone of every corporate infantry or security and Chimera graciously “shares” this technology with the whole Concordance. Their minds are meticulously planned and designed during their creation, making rebellion or ideas of disobedience basically impossible. Well, basically. But it shouldn’t happen, because a liberated Vitruvian, infused with ideas of protection and service, seeing the galaxy for what it really is would be a dangerous thing. And we can’t have that, now can we?
