@lebronjames75 art, by definition, challenges us. Our ideas, our conception of things, our perspective. If it didn't force us to reconsider things, then it isn't transformative in any way. By our own nature, we cling to our own ideas, we resist the change, or the changing of the perspective. In this way art challenges us, and sufficiently challenging art invokes a response such that we try to kill it to protect ourselves and our perspective.

I'll always hang on the words of Notorious BIG: you're nobody until somebody (tries to) kill you. You haven't affected someone, and such you haven't created art, until you've moved someone sufficiently that they feel the need to defend their conception of the world.
