Lot of people have this libertarianist idea that reasoned debate will win out in the end against everyone and everything.
Problem is, people who are not being honest w/ their intentions will never concede that you won, they'll always retreat to some sophistry and some percent of the (lower IQ) observers will think they're right.
When you accept debate from a sophist, you're accepting to lose. But fortunately there's a better solution, just make fun of them.
High IQ observers will understand that there's no point in engaging in debate, so they'll rate you on your meme quality. Low IQ observers will see the meme and laugh because that's all they've got going on. Midwits will get mad, but you can make fun of them too, in fact making fun of midwits is a patriotic duty.

The only place for a debate is when the king summons all the experts in a field to give their best arguments, and then he makes a decision and everyone follows it or they get their heads cut off.

You're debating, and not to convince a king. Debate is how European (originally Greek) civilization works, we share opinions and hope to learn from each other.
