if people went after epstein with the same rigor they went after podesta maybe we'd get somewhere. but then again, most people went off on wild conspiracy theories about demons when the demons were in the white house the entire time.

i learned about marina in college. performance art can be anything.

one thing that weirds me out is that am participating in discussions and ideologies where i have no skin in the game. i am an incredibly boring cis white male who doesn't smoke, rarely drinks, has no tattoos and drops acid maybe once a year. you'd think i fell out of california and the most radical thing i'd ever done was attend burning man.

the people who have skin in the game at risk of being hate crimed have provenance via their lived experience and some days i just feel like a tourist or god forbid a chaser for injecting myself into these activities. is it really surprising though that most of my technical and moral ability is on the fringes of the internet, and that fostering my altruism just happens to land on those who are marginalized in those fringes? idk.

i'm also a complete asshole and filter people who i find distasteful or annoying out for the greater good of my sanity so maybe my high horse sucks
This is a man named Richard O'Meara who taught a class I had in college way back in those days. He is a retired brigadier general who served with the JAG Corps. The course was regarding law, ethics, and genocide in war. Talked about Vietnam, the My Lai massacre, Africa, the Middle East. This was probably, I don't know, 12 years ago? 10?

It was a throwaway general course I took to fill credits. It ended up being a very tough but rewarding class, and one of the few that I still clearly remember. A lot of checked-out kids got filtered real quick by him, but I stuck through it. I really wonder what he'd have to say these days.
