If I remember correctly, Slaves were traditionally taken from Ukraine because enslavement of Christians was forbidden in Christian territories, and Ukrainians were Pegan. And yes, it's said that the words "Slav" and "Slave" are of the same origin.
@cjd But Slav in Slavic languages comes simply form the word “word” in Slavic so Slavs must have predated slaves logically, innit

I've never been tested, but generally I'm an Amerimutt from random European origins, so naturally I believe in judgement by "quality of their character"...

3IMO genetics does account for something, but all of the world's greatest people were the result of random mutations & hybrids.
My favorite hybrid is Jew/Irish, because their strengths complement each other really well. Jeremy Kauffman is one of those.
