He had multiple prior felonies, which precluded him from legally carrying any firearm. Domestic violence. He then decided to violently harass law enforcement in the charge of their duty. He drew a firearm during said confrontation.
What you're presenting is the leftist narrative that he was a "peaceful" law abiding citizen and this is a case of government overreach (which no one thought about applying to forced integration and troops sent in, but hey). This is the framing they use, the jewish framing, of provocation and harassment then crying victim when they get the response and using that as justification for even more violence.
