@GaryBussy It is within the realm of possibility that the US could still pull something out of its ass and win this for Israel somehow, but right now they're real short on any evidence they've hurt Iran at all, and long on subliterate dickwaving and videos of dropping millions of dollars worth of munitions on decoys in between children and hospitals.
@BobsonDugnuttHB what it's gonna come down to is shipping through the Strait. Maersk immediately rerouting everything around Good Hope + Trump's hail mary shipping insurance scheme are pretty good indicators that the west thinks Iran can shut it down for extended periods
If Iran can stay offensively viable long enough to keep the strait shut down, they don't really have to "win" in the traditional sense. Just create a giant money hole, bloody it up with some US noncoms if you can, and dig in. I personally think they've got a halfway decent chance to do that, Tehran gonna get buttfucked along the way, but that doesn't really do shit but make smoke. The oil fleet is the main objective
