19Actually LaserDisc if I recall.
the lasers were really good quality and could read thru any surface scratches that did happen. until bluray, the lasers and cd quality were so poor a lightly scratched cd was unreadable.
Bring back magnetic tapes.
My 486dx2/66 had a tape drive.
