Groups are defined by their leadership. You don't walk in the door and suggest "regime change" if you don't want to be kicked out immediately.

First thing you'd want to do is learn where they're at, what their problems are, what their goals are. Supposedly their goal is to create safe communities - but that's not known for sure.

I think the idea would be to put together a grand unified plan, and pitch them on it. Of course they may be part of a larger group which already has a unified plan, in which case the only "problem" is we didn't know about it.

i admit that's not the approach that i had in mind.

i bet you the leadership is not unified and that the various branches are not necessarily in communication. that would be job one, knit the network. act as the nexus bringing these various groups into harmony and you have a de facto seat at the table of leadership.

i'll look into it.
> I bet you the leadership is not unified

Disagree, I think they're fairly well unified. It's rare for a group to become fragmented for very long.

The first challenge would be finding someone high enough level to have a fairly comprehensive view of what they do - who is also willing to listen to a rando with ideas...

it sounds like the quickest way to make contact is to kill some darkoid and get sent to one of those prisons that The Brand calls home.

i'm not sure how one might determine which prison they are likely sent to for doing thus.

Start one of these picrel alarm companies and hire guys out of prison for installers => Probably the shortest path to developing a relationship.

Give a donation from the alarm revenues and if you've got some burgers causing trouble at your buildings, send some pictures of them to the guys..
It's no slam dunk. Have to raise the money, manage your relationships, and stay out of trouble.

For me, I left the US a little over a decade ago because things were looking bad back then. Nothing like they are now, but even with W. Bush the writing was on the wall.
The people who pay for your services get to put a sign out front of their business, and if any Usual Suspects are causing trouble on their location, you send the pictures along to the guys have have them go rough em up.

Pretty soon, that sign becomes synonymous with "don't fuck with these people" and at that point you can sell a security alarm to every business in the entire city. Also bumper stickers...
Well, lets imagine you make a bumper sticker like picrel.

To get one, you need to make a monthly donation. Our guys put it on your car, and when we do, we grab your license plate number for our database.

Now if somebody smashes your window, they're gonna have a hard time.

But if you stop paying, you have to peel off the sticker, it's the rule. And if somebody starts making fake stickers - you don't want those...

If the sticker is on your car but your plate is not in the DB, that's not good for you...
