@Dudebro @phnt @sampler @Cocoa @Goalkeeper Good thing I don't use that proprietary kernel.
Instead I use the free GNU OS, which happens to use GNU Linux-libre as the kernel.

@kaia IBM clone.
@phnt BloatFE.
@phnt Accounts.
@phnt I love the subscribe feature.
@fiore I will use `ssh -Y`
@fiore Proprietary notices have no effect on me.
@fiore >The damn X11 SECURITY extension is stopping it from working?
>Turn off the security and it works.
Security was made to be disabled on free systems.

@kaia Totally cringe and incorrect as usual.
Gentoo in fact hosts their own git repositories, they were just so stupid to also use github as a mirror and unsurprisingly they got burned over and over again.

@ElDeadKennedy >People are surprised that exchanges offer options with extreme yields "possible", despite pic related being the typical result.
@caekislove @Xenophon On a clock-for-clock basis, there is no major speed difference between DDR3, DDR4 & DDR5.
Each revision increased the burst transfer length (allowing for a slightly higher throughput) and reduced the voltage and feature size of the physical chips (allowing pushing higher clocks for the same amount of power, or the same clocks for less power).
Most computers would perform more or less identically with DDR3 RAM.

@caekislove @cjd You can patent parts of a design of a memory chip.
You cannot go out of your way to copyright anything - something either qualifies for copyright or it doesn't.
Copyright isn't a problem when it comes to RAM, as a business can choose to simply not copy the RAM chip and implement their own.
Patents may be a problem, as even a companies own design is not safe from extortion, but there are ways to work around patents.

@phnt Imaginary Property never existed.
Copyright infringement is legally known to not be theft, but it's still illegal to do so unless you are a big business, then it's okay.

@hj Gay, proprietary and annoying?
@hj Also, surrendering more of your freedom to a proprietary software company by installing their proprietary updates is meant to give you "power"?
