I mean... I can entertain the idea...

Because leaving Venezuela, Iran and Cuba intact would have been a much "smarter"? Allowing the Huitis to keep firing on tankers, and keep capturing ships would have been "better". What are we discussing here?
How to destroy the US empire by dragging it into the equivalent of Afghanistan, except bigger and connected to the Hormuz - so losing it means losing the gulf.
The Gulf is already "lost". As John Pinot put it bluntly: :Its a fucking desert, nothing grows there"!
The Gulf states are a mirage, their population growth is a catastrophe, and the result is the invasion of Europe by the most useless human beings ever.
The Gulf, the Arab States are surplus Humanity, leftover people. They have no purpose this life or the next.

Then the US can just Walk Away from Iran, it's just a desert, who cares.

"Walking away" resulted in the Iranian Regime propping up Huities to capture vessels for ransom.
I wanted to see a change in strategy, I am seeing it, and I am willing to wait for the long-term results.
If you keep doing the same thing you cannot except a different result.

So.... the US CAN'T walk away, that's my entire point.
It's a war they can't win, and can't walk away from, so it's cataclysmic for the empire.

I keep writing this and people keep ignoring it:
The US does not need to be in the Gulf forever, allow the Kurds, Israel, other people who hate each other to kill each other.

The US will keep paying Israel to bomb the Huities, the missile stores and launch sites in Iran, because money plentiful. Money is plentiful because Iranian oil, Venezuelan minerals and many other resources will be confiscated. Israel will be flushed with cash, and the US can stay out of ground wars.
All is good on my end.

Forget about Iranian oil, the US can't even access Saudi or Qatari oil until the strait is safe to transit, and as long as there are missiles hiding in mountains it's not.
> the US can stay out of ground wars.
You're not gonna get rid of the missiles hidden in the mountains, without boots on the ground. A few more weeks of closed strait and they'll be sending in troops, you'll see...

Correct, lets wait and see. I am not sitting in a Mission Control Center, so the ONLY thing I can do is wait and see.
