Once a corner section of the waterproofing layer on the (concrete) roof was cut away, we found a hairline crack underneath, which explains the leak.

Next steps: clear away debris, use an angle grinder to enlarge the crack along its length and make it somewhat V-shaped, clean, moisten, and then fill with polymer-modified cement, put on another protective coat on the surface, then redo the waterproofing.

The crack is filled. Now it has to cure for 24 hours before we apply another coat on top.

People here (masons, fabricators, etc.) think I am very strange because I always wear a face shield when using an angle grinder.

We have some spotlight-style 9W LEDs, one of which started blinking and is now barely lighting up. I haven't tried to open it up yet.

I guess the problem is not with the LED itself, but the controller attached to it. How likely is it that I can repair it?

When I was a child, I used to dream up scenarios in which an entire group was in some sort of dire jeopardy, and only I could save the day through the application of some obscure knowledge or skill.

One of those things was knowing the correct spelling of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

I must confess to being at least a little disappointed that I've never been able to save anyone with this knowledge. 😕

@sinituulia It's not just you, I see sundogplanets' posts about too many satellites and also baby goats and I can't help imagine an army of goats in low earth orbit grazing on satellites to keep them from running amok.
