I never heard tuberculosis called the "white plaque" before. Is this a new name they are trying to make a thing?
I assume they want to avoid calling it "tuberculosis" because everyone knows "tuberculosis" is imported along with third worlders and hasn't been a problem in the first world for ages, whereas "white plague" is scary and new and vaguely maligns Europeans, like a marvel villain.
@WWIII_ENJOYER @NeoDelorean @graf also, as clickbait. If you see a headline like "Tuberculosis is on the rise", you say: oh, well that's a shame. People know about TB.
