The Odyssey discourse is funny now because a lot of pro-film people are basically like the film wasnt woke and Nyongo and Page have less than 10 minutes of screen time combined.

So then why they are like "take that chuds!" over a film they themseleves are saying is not woke I dont know. Weird combination of trying to give the film legs while also bragging.

My understanding is that the film isn't overbearingly woke like the 2010s, apart from the existence of the tranny circus freak, but it is subversive in the subtler ways Hollywood has been for far longer. Wokes are trying to claim it as their own to cover up the obvious fact that their style of subversion is an abject failure.

I agree. Them acting like "the chuds" are now defeated is also severe copium.

They just recently shilled for Supergirl, Mando and Grogu, and Moana which all flopped and didnt fuck off so I dont know why they think the chuds will just because a Nolan film had a big opening weekend.

@Cleisthenes @ArdainianRight I wonder how many of those "tickets sold" were bought by the movie studio to artificially inflate sales similar to how they do with every single "NYT Best seller" to drive more people to theaters.

Of the few normgroids I interact with I know of 2 people who went to see it in the most expensive theater experience possible & they said it was basically open seating & experienced zero weed smoking/speakerphone/loud talking back to the screen. That tells me it's empty in there & zero niggers are attending.

i had read that Nolan is getting a % of the BO on the backend. Maybe as high as 20% but that is insane. I cant imagine the studio would give him any unless they really thought it was going to make a billion.
