@lain @kaia malaysia had a similar thing when they had their old train station in tanjong pagar in downtown singapore, so you'd clear malaysian immigration and customs first before clearing singapore customs upon leaving singapore

they still have their immigration preclearance facility at woodlands train station in singapore, but it's no longer a reverse deal kind of process
