I think I would read that to mean they're not interested in ... any ... negotiated agreement right now.
If they have any intention of negotiating, they would probably avoid embarrassing the US.
This is consistent with the hypothesis that they want to defeat the US, destroy Israel, and seize the whole of the middle east for themselves.

Well they tried negotiation twice and ended up with a lot of their senior people assassinated so ![]()
Indeed, Israel has made the same calculation: If they can collapse the US and kill Iran, they can control the region.
But Israel's situation is a fair bit more dire: They're starting to fall apart as a country, so this is really a "war to distract from problems at home"...
At this point I'm not sure if the outcome is going to be Greater Israel, or Islamic Empire, or some kind of endless fighting between the two...

2Bomb the crap out of Iran, and they're likely to hunker down Taliban style. Bomb the crap out of Israel, and Jews there are likely to fuck off to NYC or somewhere else far from the conflict. A history of being happily rootless has its downsides.
