My gf's son served with the Marines, he just finished his 10-years with them. He has healthcare for life, educational assistance, he is welcome by the police force, the fire fighters (he was trained in aviation support).

5Every nation has armed services, and most are fully voluntary. I am not sure what your problem is with serving in a military, but I'm glad I am immune of it.

I never served in any military, I was in a militia all my life. In Hungary, in Austria, here in the USA.
So if I'm understanding this right, military is not for YOU, but you think it's a great idea for OTHER PEOPLE...
