A big challenge is that boys and girls have different optimal career/family strategies.
Boys are best off not looking at one single woman until they're like 25 and have their career dialed in.
Girls are best off looking at 25 year olds to marry in their prime years and start a family and then do career after they have their family situation taken care of.

@cjd @andetritus @Aether Girls are best off doing what they think is best for them, including deciding whether marriage and children should even be a consideration, given that ALL of that means they will lose not only years of earning power, but will also face massive extra costs and have reduced pensions.

Way too many single moms and women with 6 figure student loan debt for useless degrees for that to be true.
This is that thing where women give psychopathically bad advice to other women.
It's completely instinctive, they don't know they're doing it.
If you ask them the same question in the context of what THEY'D do, they answer completely differently.
