Essex Fire Service has responded to a 'large industrial unit fire' at Rettenden.
So far three versions of the story has surfaced:
1. Warehouse explosion
2. Farm warehouse explosion
3. Unnamed "Industrial unit"
However, it really does look like a munition production unit or a munitions warehouse.
Houses as far as 3 km away felt the blast.
