@bekopharm @kaia tbh, that would be a good application for wd40. It's mainly for rust protection

You *want* that lubricated in the long run.
WD40 is good for cleaning but not for storing *or usage*. It evaporates and leaves the blade exposed to oxygen and humidity resulting in _more_ rust.
Now I don't know how many swords y'all have and how you store them but mine are sitting in the basement, just like my mail and plate parts, and that is a very harsh environment for metal. This isn't modern stainless steel. WD40 would kill that stuff!
@bekopharm @coolbean @kaia wd40 doesn't evaporate wtf. It was specifically created to protect metals from corrosion
