Facts on compliance with them would be very helpful.
Meaningful advocacy for copyleft begins with universal compliance with copyleft.

@dexter @neptune22222 @rl_dane @tinker @stefano and it's not just the government failing to enforce the license that's a problem, there's also the issue with FSF and others refusing to assist in GPL violations if it will cost them too much money. This is more common than people realize.

“Selling exceptions means that the copyright holder of the code releases it to the public under a free software license, then lets customers pay for permission to use the same code under different terms, for instance allowing its inclusion in proprietary applications.”
It’s good to see that the FSF does not, according to this, sell exceptions. Doing so would truly rip my brain in half.
Does any one have sample/example exception sale agreements?
