@neptune22222 @rl_dane @tinker @stefano There are indeed many more copyleft licenses than the GPL.
Facts on compliance with them would be very helpful.
Meaningful advocacy for copyleft begins with universal compliance with copyleft.

5These licenses are at odds with the reality we live in.
@feld @tinker @neptune22222 @stefano @rl_dane I recall them welcoming the selling of exceptions/indulgences too?
I am not equipped to perform the mental acrobatics.
@feld @tinker @neptune22222 @stefano @rl_dane On this topic: https://www.fsf.org/blogs/rms/selling-exceptions
“Selling exceptions means that the copyright holder of the code releases it to the public under a free software license, then lets customers pay for permission to use the same code under different terms, for instance allowing its inclusion in proprietary applications.”
It’s good to see that the FSF does not, according to this, sell exceptions. Doing so would truly rip my brain in half.
Does any one have sample/example exception sale agreements?
@feld @tinker @neptune22222 @stefano @rl_dane If GPL’d upstream, how do they offer this?
