American McD coffee comes primarily from Central & South America. They focus on bulk and consistency rather than flavor.
I've had some great Columbian beans my friend brought when he visited
The stuff they serve the locals is leaps & bounds better than the export quality shit

ive realized the best mcd brekkies are usually found on the interstates. theyre constantly slammed so the ingredients are always fresh af. best sausage i ever had was off i-80 in iowa.
i was like 15 and i still remember it being one of the best sausage/egg mcmuffins i ever had.

yeah. the ring molds are really all they need. those mcd griddles have timers and temp settings for diff meats according to the menu.
cost a bunch but they are idiot proof.

mcd shit is all proprietary gear.
so i can see an independent having a griddle go down and just buying a flattop for a few grand instead of buying the mcd autogriddler with all sorts of gadgetry for like 10-20k
