@SholemAlejchem there aren't enough divers in the world capable of doing this work. You can't just take any diver, they need to be rebreather divers. That's a year of training beyond getting their open circuit. We're talking like one dive to one mine per day because of their deco.

And that's before training them on how to disarm the mines

And we don't even have enough rebreathers on the planet to give these guys.

We can't use drones, they'll cause them to explode by triggering the magnetic field. Blowing them up will make it even harder to find them from all the debris/silt.

Also they already have very poor visibility at depth in that channel
