@lain that's definitely a fair point. I think it's also fair to argue that most "movements" are controlled and astroturfed to a large degree so it's an open question how useful participation even is.

I do think it's healthy to recognise the limits of 'e-celebs'. Polly is mostly trying to push back against the naive newbies who haven't yet clued into the grifting and corruption in alt media.

I'm just saying the 'logic' behind replacing senior engineers with newbs + AI is going to be disastrous in the long run.
@feld Isn't at all wrong that these tools have value, but as he points out that's not really what's driving the stock mania around it.

@feld from a business standpoint if LLMs don't allow experienced workers to be replaced with disposable serfs than all the money being thrown into the dumpster-fire is a waste.
