do i not understand (neo)vi(m) users because i don't understand the program, or is it the other way around?
it feels like it was intentionally made obtuse and hard to use, and i much prefer nano for its simple shortcuts that mesh well with my muscle memory from the terminal (ctrl+x to exit, for instance)
