i fucking hate the antiquated notion that the male contributes the seed of the new organism and the female germinates it in her womb. the female both contributes an equal amount of genetic material AND gestates the fetus. no one can deny she has vastly more of a share in reproduction, which for a man is wholly pleasurable and a woman is mostly quite painful and arduous.

@georgia calling dealing with women "pleasurable" is a blatant lie
@newt if sex and fatherhood isnt joyful for you I'm fairly certain youre doing it wrong
@georgia dunno, I haven’t tried fatherhood yet. But seriously, have you even met women? Most of them are annoying at best. Only a rare woman is worse getting in bed with.
@newt if youre starting families with every random woman, again with the "doing it wrong". I stand by what I said.
@georgia who said anything about starting families? Even putting my dick into one would be nightmarish. I’ve no idea how some dudes hook up with a new girl every week, for me this would be hell.
@newt "who said anything" my post is about fatherhood vs motherhood, not casual sex
@lain @newt to be more accurate my post was about the male reproductive role, not fatherhood. i used fatherhood euphemistically specifically to contrast reproductive sex with casual sex. fatherhood occurs mostly after birth, reproduction before it. the content of my post (addressing outdated theories of reproduction where the sperm is basically a homonculus and the female germinates it) is not "a father is useless" (although many fathers are, including mine). anyway i don't think its controversial that the male reproductive role is essentially sex.
