It has been many, many moons since I ran Gentoo on an old Thinkpad.

@sabex I cooked the board in my T495 having it under my pillow with a release of kernel I think 5.19 because it fucked up the suspend and sleep functions. Woke up to it literally beeping nonstop and had to get a warranty replacement. The install of Gentoo on that thinkpad is almost 20 years old and has been on every thinkpad I've ever owned. Current and up to date, btw

@sabex Same XFCE configs and dotfiles too. Every so often I'll make a block for block copy. If I lost that install I'd probably end it. That has been through more shit than a thai ladyboy

@sabex Drives been imaged from PATA to SATA to SATA SSD to NVMe. Every couple months it's a disk druid byte-for-byte full copy to a brand new drive
