the new steam controller looks fucking retarded. any of you try it yet? the touchpad gimmick seems like it would cause issues similar to laptop trackpads and phantom touches

23The haptic pads on the Steam Deck, which is the same tech as the pads on the Steam Controller, have not caused problems by themselves and have worked well. A few minor flaws I have encountered seem more to due to bad UI software design or coding than the pads.
titto, the best pc controller is just using your xbox controller cuz it "just works" and most games were made to replace the prompts with xbox buttons when you plug in a controller anyway, tho that's been changing recently with the piss 4 controller having been popular for playing pc games, i would prolly prefer to use a piss4 controller myself but i don't ahve aone anymore
i dunno, i ain't spending money on shid.
ngl once I bought the legion Go then the legion Go S I have not ever touched my steam deck. maybe I should replace the batteries which are no doubt shot now and sell it ngl
modded it with 2TB btw
well, that's practically impossible, but i don't use their shit other than a gaming controller i bought cuz steam didn't sell controllers anymore when i bought one, and they still don't sell controllers anymore since they fucking ran out.
and now they didn't make enough controllers. to meet demand this time iether.
What do you like about the Legion Go S over the Deck?
faster, better panel. its only a bit bigger but it feels more comfortable to me. battery life is comparible, it is a bit noisier but my Go S runs steam os natively as well which is cool. performance is 7-10fps extra* in most games (a couple extra W to the APU than the deck allows out of the box mostly)
what you mean I was asking because the site says I can reserve, I like the old design better I think imo but I've used neither so I have no real world experience. just used to using XBONE and DS4 and the switch 2 pro controller
that's what i mean, if i wanted a gaming controller i'd just go get one and be done with it, steam controller seems nice and all, but i ain't waiting for to h ave what i want EVER
ngl brother i dont think I'll be reserving anything. I have enough controllers, I was curious about it but not curious enough to spend almost 150$ CAD
yea there's that too, i dunno how wurf it is to spend that kinda money on a controller just toi play some dark souls and poke'mon on emulators.
ANYWAY haver oyu seent my new computer? i built it on modnay after my parts came in it's pretty stronk, i won't need a new one for YEEARS
Way better than my gaming rig. Was my desktop I just retired it to couch gaming. I got double the ram but 7700x and a 3070ti
i'm hopeing to have this pc be my main gaming pc in a decade from now cuz hard times are coming, basically my last frivilouis purchase of bullshit for my own amusement for a long time.
Games are gonna keep getting worse too
but honestly i don't think technology is gonna go much further in terms of graphics and processing power needed without a major paradigm shift in computing, so my current pc can play everything i currently own, and anything i might wanna play in the future for the forseeable future for years and years.
Using the old PC to entertain the chickens I hope
