If this works how I think it works then it's a very lazy implementation.
From what I can tell they're using some sort of AI image to image upscaling that doesn't even really render any geometry at all. Think of it akin to the Oblivion Remaster where they just shoved it in UE5 and called it a day. (coincidentally it's one of the games they featured so it's a janky game put into a janky engine being fed into a seemingly janky implementation of AI upscaling.) Granted that I've done a decent amount of delving into the world of AI image and video research over the past few years, I'm actually kind of surprised they'd actually do something like this, and bewildered that it looks like AI videos when they first came out. I can see ways in which they could make it look better (because it does look like ass IMO) by facilitating loras or giving the devs more control over the output, but I don't see this being a great GPU seller they're seemingly trying to make it to be. idk exactly what I wanted to do with this poast, but I kinda wanted to put my thoughts out there just to figure out how I even feel about it. Feel free to discuss because I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about this.

@justnormalkorean @Shadowman311 Despite steams best efforts the steam deck (while revolutionary for gaming both in mobile and also linux) just doesn't cut it. The Legion Go S dances circles around it and even that is underpowered. Mobile gaming for triple A now is fucked because their shit is so poorly optimized it chews through any battery. The only hope is a port on switch 2 (which so far have been great ngl)
