@kaia from what I've heard it's just like what the wikipedia page sounds like. it has a plain cookie-like exterior and the inside is just overly sweet bread.
it's good if you like sweet things i guess, but nothing particularly special.
source: my sister has been to japan and the melon pan disappointment was apparently real. she didn't know it wasn't melon flavored until she was already there
