@kaia how come no one talks about the bogleheads strategy of just investing in broad funds for years, slowly growing money at pace with the market (and beating inflation)

@cell I think a lot of people know the index fund strategy, but they prefer to gamble

@kaia gambling never paid off for me
randomly investing in things and holding them for many years did however

@cell @kaia Actively gambling makes for stress which makes for bad decisions which makes for even more lost money

I am already making lotsa bad financial decisions, can't afford losing my savings too

essentially, okay, your cool strat has landed you 100% returns in 6 months
but i ask; can you maintain that over 10 years

@cell @koakuma @kaia if you have 100% every 6 months you don't need to go for 10 years, 3 years is enough for retirement
