@kaia @lain the failure to actually get collective farming working is a common theme in state socialism, which is interesting, you'd think it'd be one of the easier things to collectivize

@whiteline @lain dunno whether I'm thinking too simply, but taking away people's land, telling them the next harvest will be completely confiscated and they will be left with nothing seems like an excellent incentive to not give a fuck, to plant nothing, to work against the system with full force
