However their owner, Larry Ellison (and family) is friends with Trump - trump is having them run TikTok. In addition to them owning CBS, they will now own CNN
I think given the current administrations track record when it comes to bullying the media into complying (see Colbert, lawfare against CBS, vague threats against netflix and their board, etc), it is not unreasonable to be concerned
Not a fan of CNN by any stretch, but tech billionaires consolidating news outlets underneath them (like bezos with WaPo for example) is not a good thing, and certainly not an improvement over CNN's current standing, no matter how shitty
