@kaia @hfaust unfortunately indie filmmaking rarely pays, people will keep doing it out of passion but actual financial success is rare. i get paid a lot more for corporate and advertising work than i do for actual creative work and it's because all of these people are broke as fuck.

hollywood's downfall is 100% deserved, but i can't help but be depressed knowing jobs for people who want to make movies are drying up fast and in the near future i'll no longer be able to make a living doing what i love.

@waifu i understand wanting to better create things, and there is some circumstances like video editing where there really isn't a replacement for professional editing software, but there's also a lot of "professional" software out there for things like writing and drawing that people are convinced they need but they absolutely categorically do not

i write my screenplays in fountain format in notepad :shrug_kon:
