Thanks, I'll buy a functioning device instead.

In all honesty, cheap chinesium phones which is the path I took almost 10 years ago are now not a viable option as you can only get custom ROMs from some jeet on Telegram and I'm not trusting that. The phones suck anyway, and the only reason why I'm on Android is the Fossify apps, Newpipe and Auxio all from fdroid. So if they effectively kill fdroid, then good job, I have no reason to use Android anymore and might as well buy something that has more than 2 years of updates that aren't 6 months old.
