@snacks @niobleoum @bronze He easily could, but blocking a whole lane would piss almost anybody off. The driver should have overtaken them by going into the second lane and they should have fucked off to the side of the road like anybody sane would do. That's what I mean by acting they own the road.
@niobleoum @snacks @bronze Hard disagree, it's a straight road with good visibility. No need to make the overtake shorter when there's no traffic.

He can just overtake no issue no matter what they do unless they start swerving into the opposing lane or some shit like that. I'm not demanding it, but it's a sensible thing almost everybody does. Except for a select few mamils that are universally hated by everyone. Other cyclists hate them, because they make everyone look bad and drivers hate them because they are arrogant.
Also yes, roads are for cars and cyclists will always be second citizens on roads. If you aren't comfortable with that, use bike roads and trails instead.

@phnt @niobleoum @bronze no one gets off the road to let cars overtake here and roads are public infrastructure, for the public. If you don't understand that and think maiming people for using it too slowly is a sane reaction then you shouldn't have a drivers licence
