@vitalis what kind of first sword would you recommend?

7it depends! do you want a decorative display piece? do you want an actual sharp sword to practice cutting stuff with? or do you want a blunt sword to safely train solo or against sparring partners?
@vitalis I don't really need display items, and sparring isn't really on the table. A machete or something similar is actually practical for hiking overgrown areas in the summer. I guess that's where my mind was going.
I think a medieval/renaissance era falchion would be surprisingly practical to use like a machete for clearing trails.

@prettygood @vitalis the only complaint I have is that the handguard is fuckin massive, I have huge hands and I still have about an inch on either side and unless you firmly grasp it, it slips around in the hand
