What about giving cleaning ladies 325 euro a week so they can spend more time on projects?

@lain from what i understand the application process is based on the "projects", not the applicant's current occupation. if the cleaning lady wants to take three years to work on a project of her own she can apply.

simple fact of the matter is that if you desire a future with any art whatsoever that isn't AIsloρ / commercial capeshit these types of programs are going to become necessary. the market (such that it actually exists) does not create enough demand for original, authentic art in the same way it creates demand for cleaners.

@rowb1t i still don't see the part where 'artists' should be able to take money from othres because third parties want 'art' but aren't willing to pay for it.

@lain it's not just free money for artists, it's a jobs investment program. in the limited pilot they actually ended up recouping their costs through taxes on additional income the participants in the program were able to generate by working on their projects full-time.
