> DUBLIN, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Ireland rolled out a permanent basic income scheme for the arts on Tuesday, pledging to pay 2,000 creative workers 325 euros ($387) per week following a trial that participants said eased financial strain and allowed them to spend more time on projects.

What about giving cleaning ladies 325 euro a week so they can spend more time on projects?
@lain from what i understand the application process is based on the "projects", not the applicant's current occupation. if the cleaning lady wants to take three years to work on a project of her own she can apply.

simple fact of the matter is that if you desire a future with any art whatsoever that isn't AIsloρ / commercial capeshit these types of programs are going to become necessary. the market (such that it actually exists) does not create enough demand for original, authentic art in the same way it creates demand for cleaners.
