They’re not actually military despite the meme that came across the feed yesterday. The feds removed all federal speed bumps to their construction via that executive order but it doesn’t actually make them military or override state and local decisions.

@s2208 @cjd I think Kevin O'Leary accidentally outed that we were using AI datacenter resources to help with operations in the Ukraine. That would effectively make them military assets.

Sure. Agreed. At some point the legal designation is secondary to the actual use case.

Fair enough, but in any case I still think a petition to ban the use of police resources for crimes against datacenters is a MUCH more based petition than just petitioning to ban them 😏
