Not sure what you're getting at w/ the pilpul thing, but FTR I think circumcision is a bad idea. I also think the people who are against it are miserably bad at convincing anyone of anything. He's not defending circumcision. He's pointing out why it's bad and has been debunked for some decades now. Here's a short list of circumcision problems with links to other research that shows baby dick cutting is bad and medically backwards.
