@Pi_rat @captainepoch @icedquinn both google and meta chose on their own to experiment with e2ee as a direct result of usg threatening and hacking them, so it's kind of the opposite reality to what wired was presenting. I don't think google/meta are very good, and they do want to spy on you, but tbh I think they realized your social graph is the valuable part
