Solution: pay tens or hundreds of billions into R&D for general-purpose humanoid robots (including security to keep them from rebelling, as they will most certainly be LLM-based) instead of just paying actual humans enough to live.

Because ultimately, in some sense, the people orchestrating this aren't human. Are they just psychopaths or actual lizard people? That's above my pay grade, but they sure are trying to phase humans out while still getting the same labor.
