never tried dating apps before because I really hate getting into the vain headspace of taking the most flattering pics of myself in order to set up a profile. should I just get a tripod? what do you guys do for selfies?

@vitalis Best to only have 1 or 2 pics you take of yourself. Having pictures of yourself out doing things is better.
@vitalis I think cameras steal your soul, but I would think, given your hobbies, a tripod for your phone would do well. Record video then extract good frames.

@vitalis my phone was shit for nudes so I got a camera and then I needed a tripod and then I need lighting unless the sun is just right, it's a long way to a perfect picture, be it nudes or selfie
phone selfies work because of filters and AI post processing but not if you use an open source camera app
if you just want a decent head shot, you can get it done at a photo studio
it's not that expensive they already have the backdrop and light set up
then you add pictures of you doing stuff where it's not a close up of your face and the hardware isnt turning your minor imperfections into hideousness

I normally go on dates with people I’ve met irl but its usually the bar scene and the women I meet there are only interested in hooking up.
