I saw Luc Besson’s Dracula yesterday in theaters and I thought it was a refreshing take on Bram Stoker‘s novel despite there having been so many adaptations of it already.

I don’t think the 15th century armor depicted was very much historical but subjectively I think the costume design was overall aesthetically pleasing. I also quite like Besson’s decision to genderswap Dracula’s male servant, Renfield. This movie is perhaps the most stylish spectacle yet out of all the Draculas and watching it was a fun ride.

I give it 4 out 5 stars
