16Thank God all my pdfs are old 8chan bootlegs about shit these "people" would never read anyway.
@BroDrillard I got a book called The Trivium by Sister Miriam Joseph. I never went to uni but there's a chapter in there that's harder to understand than anything else I have ever read.
In the intro to my edition the editor says she changed some of Joseph's writing. Joseph refers to humans collectively as "man."
Editor claims people would be confused by her calling humans man.
So... They'd not be able to figure that out but literally the hardest to read shit I have ever seen would not be a problem for them?
Bullshit.

@C_J_S @BroDrillard I've gotten about half way through it, it's really dense. I like the old standards of grammar, calling mankind man, referring to unknown persons as "he" not "he/she" or "they". It's simple and clean writing. Half the reason I'm working through the Trivium is to better understand old writing.
@Druid @BroDrillard Nice. I heard about this book from some recommended trivium reading list. They suggested something like the first bits of that book and the general grammar chapter. The general grammar chapter is what kicked my arse.
If I read it a couple of times I probably would have got it. I quit.

@Druid @BroDrillard Studying the Trivium and the Quadrivium has been an on-off project of mine for years.
Reminds me of anime localizers calling onigiri "jelly donuts".
It is just retarded. Let people learn about older generations and foreign cultures FFS

@C_J_S @BroDrillard I'm probably working off the same Trivium resting list.
