The American military believes that their air defense systems will not be able to reliably intercept all "Shahids", reports CNN.

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Kaine, admitted that Iranian "Shahids" pose a greater problem than initially expected - because they fly "low and slow" and can "better evade air defense systems than ballistic missiles".

According to one of the sources, officials tried to reduce the alarming impression and noted that partners in the Persian Gulf have stocks of interceptor missiles

This is pure fucking gold, and confirms something I have suspected for a long time- that our ADA systems are literally designed to detect & intercept things moving fast. That will be really good to know when CW2 comes to the fore.

The Shahed (below) is a relatively simple tailless UAV. We fully reverse engineered one a few months ago, including a full aero breakdown; we know them inside & out..and we have full mold tooling for one in my shop. Can be powered by a cheap weed-wacker engine, and with the aid of a Pixhawk controller, you got you a nice and stealthy...agricultural survey machine!
